At Candlescratelier, we take great pride in the quality of our handmade cards and printing services. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds may be accepted.

Custom and Handmade Products

Due to the custom and handmade nature of our products, we generally cannot accept returns on personalized items. Each piece is created specifically for you based on your design specifications and cannot be resold.

Please review all proofs carefully before approving production. Once you have approved a proof, we cannot accept returns based on design elements that were visible in the approved proof.

Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive items that are defective, damaged during shipping, or significantly different from the approved proof, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will:

  • Review your claim with photos of the issue
  • Offer to reprint the affected items at no charge
  • Provide a refund for items that cannot be reprinted

Acceptable Variations

Due to the handmade nature of our products, the following variations are considered normal and are not grounds for return:

  • Slight variations in color between screen and print
  • Minor differences in impression depth for letterpress items
  • Small variations in paper texture or deckled edges
  • Subtle differences between individual pieces in an order

Cancellation Policy

Orders may be canceled before production begins:

  • Full refund if canceled before design work begins
  • Partial refund (minus design fees) if design work has started
  • No refund once production has begun

Rush orders and time-sensitive projects may have different cancellation terms, which will be communicated at the time of ordering.

How to Request a Return

To request a return or report an issue:

  • Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order
  • Provide your order number and details of the issue
  • Include clear photos showing the problem
  • Keep all original packaging until the claim is resolved

Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please note that your bank may take additional time to post the refund to your account.

Samples and Swatches

Paper samples and swatch kits are non-refundable but may be credited toward a future order if returned in original condition within 30 days.
